Quick Gifts to Sew #3

The last of my trio of simple-to-make gifts, a boxy pincushion from one of our favorite designers, Heather Bailey of hellomynameisheather. (Her photographs are gorgeous!) This one's a bit trickier because it's 3-D, but that just means you'll have to watch what you're doing and pivot at the corners. Take the guesswork out of knowing when to lower the needle and turn the fabric ; use Patchwork Foot #37, which is exactly 1/4" wide and has marks 1/4" in front of the needle. (Click here for a video demo; pivoting is at the very end.) Who wouldn't want to find one of these sweet pincushions in their stocking?
